OKC’s Downtown Film Studio Launches Production

A $160,000 CARES Act grant is helping launch a non-profit job training program to meet an increasing demand for workers needed to produce films in Oklahoma. Prairie Media donated use of the northwest sound stage and NGP donated use of equipment that ordinarily would rent for $50,000. Community CARES, a program launched with CARES money to provide job retraining to offset the blow of the pandemic, provided the $160,000 to cover the crew and catering costs.
